RENGO, at the unification convention in November 1989, determined "The Direction of RENGO" and clarified, at the same time, the concept of the RENGO movement and how to push the movement forward. "The Direction of RENGO" is definitively set forth by RENGO's Platform, Basic Objectives, and Tasks and Missions, and also declares RENGO's resolve to do all it can to build a society based on equality, to enhance workers' standards of living, and to stabilize and improve national life while fostering RENGO's "strength and policies." For RENGO and its affiliates, "The Direction of RENGO" provides important guidelines in the furtherance of the RENGO movement.
