We will firmly maintain our autonomy as a free organization independent of the government, the political parties and business, and will strive for the consolidation and expansion of a free and democratic trade union movement, and for the strengthening of the movement's foundation. |
| 2 | Maintenance and Improvement of Working Conditions, and Realization of a Relaxed Way of Life |
We will realize a relaxed way of life based on due regard for humanity, by maintaining better working conditions, including higher wages, shorter working hours and better working environments. |
| 3 | Realization of a Welfare Society Through Consolidation of "Strength and Policies" |
We will bolster our "power and policies" and cooperate with political parties which share our objectives, policies and demands, in an effort to attain full employment, stabilize commodity prices and improve the general standard of living, thereby realizing a welfare society brimming with vitality. |
| 4 | Narrowing Differentials in Working Conditions by Scale of Enterprise |
We will do all we can to improve working conditions at small enterprises, and of part-time workers, by lessening differentials in working conditions, including wages and working hours. |
| 5 | Unionization of Unorganized Workers |
We will consolidate and expand the trade union movement by promoting the unionization of unorganized workers while stepping up activities at national, regional, industrial and workplace levels. |
| 6 | Full Recovery of Public-Sector Trade Unions' Basic Labor Rights |
We will strive to fully recover basic trade union rights of government and public workers and of workers in public enterprises. |
| 7 | Defense of the Constitution and Realization of a Peaceful Society Based on Freedom, Equality and Impartiality |
We will realize a free, equal, fair and peaceful society on the basis of the ideals of the Japanese Constitution, of which popular sovereignty, basic human rights and lasting peace form the keynote. |
| 8 | Disarmament, Total Abolition of Nuclear Weapons, and Realization of World Peace |
We will work toward disarmament, the total abolition of nuclear weapons, and relaxation of international tension for the attainment of world peace. |
| 9 | Realization of a Society Based on Sexual Equality |
We will vigorously push ahead with women's active participation in all areas of life, including the trade union movement, in order to realize a society based on sexual equality. |
| 10 | Establishment of Labor-Management Relations Based on Equal Footing and Mutual Respect for Autonomy |
We will maintain firmly the autonomy of trade unions and establish labor-management relations based on the principle of equality and on respect for each other's autonomy. |
| 11 | Elimination of Behind-the-Scenes Maneuvering to Disrupt the Unity of Labor Circles |
We will form an unwavering common front against all despotic, self-centered influence in labor circles, and will eliminate any attempts to divide us. |
| 12 | Solidarity of Workers and Trade Unions Through the Promotion of Deeper Mutual Reliance |
We will, while maintaining the ideals of our Platform, further promote mutual reliance among member organizations, both governmental and non-governmental, and push forward with the unification of workers and their trade unions on the basis of mutual trust. |
| 13 | Changes of the Regime and Realization of a Wholesome Parliamentary Democracy |
We will cooperate in the creation of a new political force capable of assuming governmental power and realize a sound parliamentary democracy that allows for a change of government. |
| 14 | Contribution to the World's Trade Union Movement as a Member of the ICFTU(presently ITUC) |
We will share our international role as a member of the ICFTU(presently ITUC) and contribute to the advancement of the world trade union movement. |
