Direction of RENGO
(adopted at the inaugural Convention, 21st November 1989)
Platform

  1. We will continue the tradition of free and democratic trade union movements and strive to further develop the trade union movement by uniting working people on the basis of this concept.

  2. While always pursuing social justice, we will strive to attain full employment, establish basic trade union rights, and improve working conditions & living standards by endowing ourselves with "power and policies. "

  3. We will strive, in the vanguard of the people, for construction of a free, equal, fair and peaceful society with enduring hope for a better future.

  4. We will eliminate all forms of interventions and establish a solid democratic organisation while endeavouring to maintain autonomy of trade unions, and work to further strengthen and develop RENGO itself.

  5. We will exert utmost efforts for the realisation of world peace, and the assurance of peaceful coexistence and co-prosperity for all.
