Shokuhin Renmei is Now "Food-RENGO"

On November 19, Shokuhin Renmei (League of Japan Foods and Tobacco Workers' Union), a bridge organization combining Shokuhin Rengo (Japan Federation of Foods and Tobacco Workers' Unions) and Shokuhin Rokyo (Food Industry Workers' Unions Council), became the Federation of All Japan Foods and Tobacco Workers' Unions (Food-RENGO aka JFU). At Food-RENGO's request, RENGO endorsed the organizational and name change at its 17th Central Executive Committee Meeting.

On November 12, due to a vacancy in the central executive committee caused by a change of officials in an affiliate organization, RENGO decided on the appointment of the following Acting Official at its 17th Central Executive Committee meeting:
